Today I wanted to share my family’s breakfast casserole I make every year on vacation. Each summer, we take a 7 hour trip to Gulf Shores, AL to the beach. We love going, and we have a really hard time planning trips to other places because we just love it there so much! One year we went to Florida, and it just wasn’t the same. WE LOVE GULF SHORES!
Anyway, this is what I make the day it is my turn to cook breakfast. It is super simple and feeds a group of people.
Start of with crescent rolls…
Add cooked breakfast sausage and eggs
Top with cheese and bake
Recipe:
(Doubles Easily-just use a 11 x 15 pan)
1 pound pork sausage, browned
1 tube crescent rolls
5 eggs
2 tbsp milk
pepper to taste
1 cup shredded colby/jack or cheddar cheese*
In a 13 x 9 dish, unroll crescent dough and press sides together in the bottom. Distribute browned sausage on top. In a bowl, beat eggs with milk. Pour eggs evenly over sausage. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until set.
*Sometimes cheddar cheese can be too oily especially when combined with the sausage, so I prefer to use colby/jack. In the photo above, I only had cheddar.
Enjoy!

Thank you for the recipe. We are heading out on the lake today and I needed to feed 6 hungry kids and adults. Love your website.

Recipe looks yummy, but what caught my attention was your mention of Gulf Shores – it is my wife and my favorite place to visit, too!
