Protein Chocolate Mousse – A decadent and delicious high protein chocolate dessert recipe.
I’ve jumped on the cottage cheese bandwagon and made you guys a yummy high protein dessert! Even if you are not a cottage cheese fan, I promise this Protein Chocolate Mousse is so good! It’s also very filling and feels like you’re totally indulging!
What do you need to make Protein Chocolate Mousse?
- low-fat cottage cheese
- sugar-free chocolate pudding mix
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- sugar substitute – (I use Lakanto)
- vanilla extract
- salt
- sugar-free whipped topping
- sugar-free chocolate chips
What substitutes can I make in this recipe?
- sugar substitute
I use Lakanto. You can also use Swerve or another sugar replacement. - sugar-free chocolate chips
You can use dark chocolate chips.
Other notes about this recipe:
- This recipe is meant to make one bowl and serve one, but it’s pretty filling and can be made for two!
- The whole recipe totals 314 calories and 24 grams of protein!
- Omit the whipped topping and/or chocolate chips to save even more calories!

Protein Chocolate Mousse
Protein Chocolate Mousse - A decadent and delicious high protein chocolate dessert recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup low fat cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar-free chocolate pudding
- 4 tsp sugar replacement (Lakanto)*
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- zero sugar whipped topping*
- 1 tbsp sugar free chocolate chips
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except whipped cream and chocolate chips to a blender. Blend until well combined and pour into a bowl.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate chips. You can let it thicken in refrigerator too if you'd like.

*This recipe can serve one with 20 grams of protein per serving. However, it is very filling and you can split this into 2 servings and still get 10 grams of protein.
*You can use your favorite sugar replacement. I've been using Lakanto.
*If you can't find sugar-free chocolate chips, you can use a dark chocolate.
